Grandpa Daniels

I went all the way to Long beach yesterday to see Grandpa and Grandma Daniels. It was a great day despite the rain and no beach (too wet and windy). We all hung out at grandpa's house, had lunch and played with toys. It was really nice and I got to meet my cousin Stephanie. She is really sweet.

4th of July

Technically this is my 2nd 4th of July, but I was only 3 weeks old on the last one. On the 4th we went to a parade right by our house and then Rogan ran in some races and played in the bounce house(s) and then we got poured on so we ran home and had lunch. I really enjoyed the parade and didn't mind it when the big trucks honked their horns right in front of me. I would sit up periodically and pint at things. Jessalyn and Kaitlyn were there also. It was quite nice.

Next, we had a barbecue in the backyard on a blanket, played some more and called it a day.

Gamma's Visit

Gamma came by the other day on her way to the beach and she brought me my birthday gift. It is a beautiful princess clock and I can't wait to hang it in my room next to mom and dad's diplomas. I'm hoping that I get a princess room here soon. Thanks Gamma for forcing mom and dad's hand.

p.s. My tongue really isn't that big. I am eating an animal cracker. What? They are good!

Pool time and birthday outfits

We finally had a string of warm days so nan bought us an alligator pool that is very neat. It has a little sprayer/ sprinkler built in. I didn't dare step in, too cold, but I liked standing outside of the pool imagining the fun of being inside it.

Break time!

Aunt Kim and Uncle Todd bought me this cute little number for my birthday. Mom thought it might not fit, but look at me!

And Megan bought me this cute night gown and I added my own accessory.

Feeding me

I can feed myself. Mom decided it was best I learn to feed myself as early as I can despite the mess. And though I do make a mess, I actually make it into my mouth more than I spill on myself.

Every morning Rogan and I have breakfast together. And because I refuse to try new foods, I usually eat yogurt or apple sauce and then I squeeze mom for a few animal crackers. I do like cheerios and chex cereal, but only dry and not very often. Other foods I love are, PB&J sandwiches, but only because mom swiped some peanut butter in my mouth and I thought I was in heaven otherwise I would have never tried it. I also eat grapes and bananas. Yum. And milk is another fav. I don't get juice, milk or water. Mom figures I get enough sugar from all the starchy foods I eat.

Side note: I love this chair. I can sit in it all on my own and the other day mom heard me yelling in the dining room so she came running. I had managed to get both feet on it and was standing straight up staring at her like, "now what?"

Big girl bath time

Because I am one I get to take big girl baths, which means I am in the big tub without any support around me. I enjoy splashing the water, but mainly I just watch Rogan play with all the toys. He is quite entertaining and quite loud.

I do like to blow bubbles and will practice saying new words like beaver, duck and fish with the bath book mom gave me. I can actually say those words. it is precise, but I can make the sounds.

My 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday to me. Yeah, I am a year old and there are a bunch of people at my house and a million balloons. Why you ask, I really have no clue, but it is fun.

Well I got a ton of hugs from everyone today , including mom and dad. I don't think they like seeing their little girl getting so big and I don't mean around the waist.

BTW, did I mention I am a daddy's girl? Whenever he comes into the room I make him pick me up and I get really sad when he leaves.

Mom and dad bought my a bike helmet for my birthday because I had to use Rogan's dinosaur helmet every time I went on a bike ride.

To begin my birthday, nanny, on my actual birthday, had flowers sent to my school just for me. It was so sweet.

Then, on my birthday party day, Grandpa Daniels had balloons sent to me. Who knew how fun balloons could be?

Around 3:00ish all these people showed up and brought me presents. I didn't really open the presents because I was so distracted by everyone else, but I have played with all my toys since then. Thank you everyone!

When it came time for cake I kept tricking mom and dad and would pretend like I was going to take a big bite out of my cake and then would back off. Hee hee. I'm a dainty eater, no sugar for me. Yah right!
